The Equality Summit is a gathering of community leaders committed to winning back marriage equality in California to network, share information and resources, and plan next steps.  It is open to community leaders, including new and emerging leaders, actively working to win back marriage equality in California. Because of space limitations, organizations are encouraged to send no more than two leaders. For interested people who could not come to Los Angeles, a video of the general session is posted below, and a Summit Liveblog is available at EQCA's blog, The California Ripple Effect

Saturday, January 24
9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

West Hall of the Los Angeles Convention Center, 1201 South Figueroa Street

Summit Goals

  • To be inclusive of the entire coalition of people working for marriage equality, particularly reaching out to communities of color, people of faith, and straight allies.
  • To build and strengthen relationships, so that affinity groups and working partnerships can form and thrive.
  • To develop trust and create healing from the pain of electoral defeat and its aftermath.
  • To disseminate information about what happened on the campaign, and what is currently happening in the movement.
  • To nurture new leaders and organizations.
  • To create space for activists and leaders to plan next steps and move forward with new projects in partnership.
